Mark Spano has served as a visiting lecturer for the Department of Mass Communications at
North Carolina State University. He taught Writing for Electronic Media. He also served as
a visiting lecturer for the East Carolina University Department of Communications and
Broadcasting. He taught Mass Media in Culture, Critical Perspectives on the Media and Senior
Seminar on Ethics and Documentary filmmaking. He has also served as a member of the adjunct
faculty of the Department of Communications and Humanities, Northern Virginia Community
College. He taught English Composition, Literature and Creative Writing.
He holds two advanced degrees, an MA in literature from the American University in Washington, DC and
an MBA in Marketing from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia.
